Who is the Mayan Goddess Ixchel?

Answer from the V.M. Samael Aun Weor.

The Sacred Book of the Mayans, The Popol Vuh, says that God created man from clay and then from wood (the Atlantean race), but they forgot their "Fathers and Mothers," they forgot the "Heart of Heaven," then a great flood came and everyone perished, they went into caves for shelter and these collapsed (referring to the submersion of Atlantis).

So each person has his Father and his Divine Mother who are very sacred. In the Father and Mother Kundalini we see the two columns Jachin and Boaz that support the Temple.

Answer from the Book "The Esoteric Pentagram in Gnosis.".

The “rainbow woman” (Ixchel) is the goddess who is in charge of a variety of things, generally associated with the attributes of God Mother, such as: love, textiles, water, medicine and gestation.

It is very interesting that she stands out as the goddess of love and that she is the wife of the main Mayan god “house of dew” (Itzamná), it is not at all by chance. Itzamná, the god of wisdom and of the Sun, father of the gods, is our real, deep inner Being. It is said that God as a father is wisdom and as a mother is love. She is represented as an old woman (symbol of her wisdom), generally with a snake on her head.
