The legend of the centuries says, and the Divines and humans know this, that when our Brother Francis of Assisi (1186-1226) reached the twilight of his life, his ecstasy on Mount Avernus multiplied.

His beloved disciple, Brother León, who happily brought him food, always found him in a state of rapture outside his grotto, high above the perfumed earth. Sometimes he reached the beech trees, disappeared from sight, went between the fourth coordinate.
